Wakawaka Hostel

It was ok Could improve: Bait and switch. I booked the Wakawaka Hostel. When I arrived no one was home. I eventually made contact with who I think was the owner. This is what he told me “oh the hostel is under renovation, we will accommodate you at Wakawaka House”. This is a different location. “I’ll send a driver to collect you”. Ok. Not great but ok. I didn’t feel like contacting booking to change things after a long ride to get to Arusha. Well, guess who paid for the driver? The owner running the bait and switch? Or me? It was me. Hmmm Place was barely alright very basic. Breakfast includes powdered instant coffee, no milk. Fortunately the lady in the afternoon checking me in, and the lady manning the hotel that evening were very nice. So I haven’t officially reported this scam/violation of bookings policies.

Every thing was perfect for the price ! Near to the center but also quiet . The mattresses really good . Great omelette ( Spanish ) The owner is wonderful

Could improve: We came here at 10 p.m. The gate was closed. We were knocking on the gate. But nobody came open the door. We couldnt call or send the message because we didn't have tanzanian sim card yet. Anyway there should be some door bell for tourists who came little bit later... So we had to find another accomodation.
