We stayed at Paje Lounge for 16 days. We did not expect luxury, as this is a budget accomodation and it is Tanzania. However, Paje Lounge did not live up our expectations in several ways. They have few vegetarian selections on the menu and were staying for a long time, so we asked if we could use the kitchen during off hours, but they were unaccomodating. The free breakfast was okay, but nothing special and the portions were small. We ended up having to go out to eat a lot. They advertise WiFi, but in fact we had to ask for WiFi to be turned on constantly, to the point that it was more trouble than it was worth. The lock on our door broke halfway through our stay, and they never fixed it. The room was advertised for 4 beds, but it only had three. The help staff works hard, but the owner is not the most friendly. He was rude to our taxi driver when we left, and was generally unaccomodating of our needs given how long we were staying. For one or two nights, Paje Lounge might be a good budget accomodation, but I would not recommend for a longer stay.
