Staff was great. Food was great. Property was great. Natural setting with birds and monkeys was really great. On a clear day you can see the top of Kilimanjaro as you have a gin and tonic on the veranda in the photo. Monkeys would be playing overhead as you were eating on a terrace overlooking a bird paradise. Horseback riding was great through the village and jungly terrain. Gift shop was great compared to others I saw in Tanzania and we spent loads there. Pool was great. Wonderful place to relax before or after the rigors of a safari to the the Serengeti. Also loved Baloo.

Charming buildings, super helpful and friendly staff, wonderful birds and animals. Not fancy, not high tech, but still very comfortable. Gives you a sense of what it must have been like when Tanzania was a British colony. A relaxing and enjoyable place to spend your first days in Tanzania.

It's like a real life Shangri La. An oasis on the outskirts of Arusha. Very peaceful and exotic.
