BamBam Bungalows Zanzibar

I have travelled to Zanzibar many times and, for the past few years, I had refused to come back to Nungwi. Mass tourism, the growing party scene, and the constant hassle from beach sellers had made it lose much of its charm for me. This year, I decided to give Nungwi another chance, and I was incredibly lucky to stay at Bambam Bungalows. For me, it has been a true oasis in Nungwi. It’s not right on the beach, but honestly, it doesn’t need to be. It’s located in the village, in a quiet area with a real local atmosphere, and you can walk to the beach in about five minutes. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place where I felt completely safe. What I loved most is that when you step outside and walk around the neighbourhood, it reminds me of the Nungwi I discovered about 15 years ago, when I first came to Zanzibar. For me, that is something very special. The bungalows are very clean and well looked after, there’s a lovely swimming pool, the breakfast is amazing, and above all, the people who run the place are incredibly kind and welcoming. Staying here actually makes you feel like you are in Zanzibar, rather than in just another beach destination somewhere in the world. I would absolutely recommend Bambam Bungalows and, without a doubt, if I come back to Nungwi, this is where I’ll stay again.

Als erstes sind Jojo und das Personal zu erwähnen, die wirklich immer freundlich und herzlich sind und gute Laune verbreiten. Zudem sind sie jeder Zeit ansprechbar und möchten einem den besten Aufenthalt ermöglichen. Die Tiere, die in dem Hotel leben sind super lieb und sehr gut erzogen. Ich bin während meines Aufenthalts krank geworden und es wurde sich rührend um mich gekümmert. Ich durfte alle Wünsche äußern, habe medizinische Versorgung bekommen und um einen Arzt wurde sich gekümmert. Das ist definitiv nicht selbstverständlich! Ansonsten ist die gesamte Anlage und auch die Zimmer super schön, mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und sehr gepflegt. Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker. Es gibt täglich eine große Auswahl und verschiedene Komponenten. Es hat unsere Vorstellung von einem inkludierten Frühstück übertroffen. Das Hotel liegt in einer Wohnsiedlung. Die Menschen aus dem Viertel sind absolut hilfsbereit und freundlich. Als wir ankamen, haben sie uns ohne zu zögern mit dem Gepäck geholfen und uns den Weg gezeigt, ohne eine Gegenleistung zu erwarten. Die Kinder freuen sich riesig, wenn man ihnen Hallo sagt. Das hat uns jeden Tag den Tag versüßt. Hier ist man wirklich gut aufgehoben!
