Because we were only stopping for 2 nights we weren't too particular as to the room so chose the cheapest option but in retrospect we should have picked one next to the pool. We were in an annexe a 20meters away and it was a small room, though it did provide an effective ac unit, tea and coffee facilities, hit shower, clean towels both days, mosquito net, and it was clean and well presented. The main rooms surround the pool and are better proportioned. The owner and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. I would recommend the hotel but would advise booking the pool rooms if you're staying for more than 2 days.

Just OK. Not really beachfront, not really good value for money.

J ai particulièrement apprécié l accueil de jahmila et de toute son équipe .le seul point négatif et on y peut rien c'est les algues. Il est très agréable de manger du poisson frais et bien cuisiné juste sur une terrasse vu mer au top pour les yeux

Our flight was delayed therefore arrived a day late. I emailed 'Jamilah' owner of hotel once had WiFi access. Jamilah the owner was considerate as she responded with 'no problem' (Hakuna Matata, (Swahilli). Once we arrived, we were taken to a small and very clean room, but without a fridge or long mirror. I had a word with Jamilah and she assured me that she would sort a fridge and long mirror for us. By the end of the evening a fridge and a mirror arrived. I was so grateful as Jamilah went out her way to ensure that she dealt with my request. All the staff at the hotel was so helpful especially Osman and Chef (Asanti Sana!). The hotel is a few steps away from the beach, and within a village. The beach is hen the tide comes in and out. There are Masai tribesman selling their goods on the beach who are very polite. If you have already bought goods just tell them and they will leave you alone. The beach you can walk from one end to the other, where there are bars, hotels and restaurants. The Hotel has a varied menu and we ate there regularly. The food is wonderful in Zanzibar. I can honestly say I didn't have a bad meal. My husband and I got to know the villagers well, and my husband went fishing with them and caught Octopus and some small fish. The Chef at the hotel was happy to cook them for us. We did manage a trip to Dar Es Salaam as well. We did also visited Stone Town, Prison Island. We had a wonderful time and hope to return to Tanzania for a Safari.
