The staff were what make Amani so special. In particular, Robert, Elizabeth, Josephin, Suleiman, Pendo and Rahma were outstanding and made our stay memorable. The private beach is pristine and an incredibly relaxing and welcoming hotel. Could improve: Island-wide, Zanzibar suffers from intermittent power outages from time to time, which travellers should be aware of, though the hotel maintenance team aims to fix with the backup generator as quickly as possible.

Thank you! We really enjoyed our stay it was very relaxing and quiet. The hotel is beautiful, set right on a perfect beach, beautiful decor, rooms are very tastefully decorated and immaculately clean, the staff do an amazing job. Note the rooms are in the main building and not individual villas. The staff in the restaurant and housekeeping are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. The food was pretty good, nice variety. The massage is excellent although can get noisy as right next to the pool. Could improve: Some small things that could make this hotel even better: It’s a very small resort with just the one restaurant and bar for all meals and drinks which would be nice to have a second option for variety, perhaps a bar closer to the beach. The other point is the pool area: it really needs umbrellas around the pool. Impossible to lie flat on the loungers on the beach with the umbrellas. Had to switch loungers every time I needed sun/ shade which is not very relaxing. Also, it would be so helpful if the pool boy would bring towels to the guests when they take a lounger. He is not busy at all and it’s a nice service most five stars offer!
