I really enjoyed spending time at this hotel. The staff are very welcoming and wonderful people to be around. The staff made sure that I had a shuttle to go around town and a safe way to get there, had a secure place to store the remaining luggage, and they made delicious food for breakfast and at the restaurant. I would highly recommend to stay at the Stella Maris Lodge.

The people that work at Stella Maris are wonderful and really set this place apart from other options. I stayed here for 6 nights around a Kilimanjaro trek and it was a very comfortable and warm stay. The staff are friendly and caring and it very quickly felt like my home away from home. The food was also delicious and I appreciated the mission of the hotel+school. If I'm ever back in the Moshi/Arusha area, I'll be looking to stay here again. Be aware that the power does go out in Tanzania from time to time, so it's best to be prepared for that.

The staff is the heart of the hotel. Olivia, Innocence, Esther and Teddy were fantastic. Incredibly helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and huge portions. And the fruit juices are addictive. The rooms are clean and great water pressure. The rooms can be a little dark and wifi is best in the reception area.
