The location, great view of the crater, some friendly staff and F& B manager Could improve: While the lodge had a great design and an amazing view, the rooms were very small and basic, old, felt very cramped; The beds were clean and comfy though; for the amount they charge, you expect at least a bathrobe and some comfort. Food quality was not good at all, nothing like we experienced in a lot of other places in Tanzania. It should be a full buffet for 200 plus guests. Not worth the price at all $ 1200 a night for such a tiny room; it's excessive for these conditions, but I guess you pay for the location. They mostly cater to mass tourism, and it shows.
