Coral Bay Zanzibar

The breakfast was really nice, they served whatever we wanted. The workers were really friendly and professional, so respectful.

Η τοποθεσία του ξενοδοχείου ήταν φοβερή. Μπροστά στην παραλία με υπέροχο ξύλινο στολισμο και εξαιρετικό προσωπικό. Το δωμάτιο ήταν πεντακάθαρο με όλες τις ανέσεις, πετσέτες, σαμπουάν, καφέ νερό και τσάι. Όταν φτάσαμε μας προσέφεραν ένα drink τοπικό. Could improve: Είχε θεμα το 1ο βράδυ με το ρεύμα (κατά καιρούς υπάρχει σε όλο το νησί) και η γεννήτρια φτιάχτηκε μετά από δύο ώρες. Μας δυσαρέστησε κάπως αυτό καθώς είχαμε φτάσει μετά από ένα δύσκολο ταξίδι και θέλαμε απλά να κάνουμε ένα μπάνιο και να φάμε. Η πισίνα επίσης δεν ήταν καθαρισμένη και προς χρήση.

Amazing view, quiet property. With a few upgraded like adding dishes to the menu this will be a hidden gem! Could improve: Power outages, some of the lights not working. Menu is quite restrickted

our room was very large, clean and had nice decor. the hotel itself is very small (only 3 rooms) so it feels cozy. staff was always friendly and accommodating. bedding and towels smelled very nice, and there are bathroom amenities provided that also smelled lovely. breakfast was good and plentiful everyday, with pancakes, eggs, potatoes, and cut fruit. Could improve: our mini fridge didn‘t work. water from the taps is salt water, so you’re always salty and a little bit sticky even after you shower. there’s a water heater in the bathroom that they tell you to switch on before you shower but the water never gets warm. I know power outages are frequent and normal for Zanzibar, but there was also a problem with the power lines of the hotel while we stayed there so we were completely without power (and water) for a full night + day + a couple more hours, so it must’ve been 30 hours. they were able to fix it though so at least the second night we could take a shower, finally flush the toilet and sleep with aircon. our room got broken into while we were in there sleeping (!), we foolishly forgot to lock the sliding door and someone came in and took the cash from our wallets. nothing else was taken but it was horrifying nonetheless. there is always a security guard (also at night) but he was sleeping and didn‘t notice anything even though he was right in front of our room. I know we should’ve have locked our room but still - this shouldn’t have happened. we did get to see the security camera footage and we are 100% sure it was nobody from the staff, I just want to clarify that that‘s not what I‘m saying.
